The famous Temple of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the historical village of Lykhny has been preserved almost in its original form since the 10th century. It is one of the most important spiritual centers of the country.

Inside, you can see fragments of ancient frescoes from the 14th century and the tomb of the Abkhazian ruling prince. Next to the temple is the picturesque Lykhnashta glade and the ruins of the princely palace.
